About Ommpo
Independence is usually lost to logistics, not to health.
A parent rarely leaves the house they love because of a single diagnosis. They leave because the roof went unrepaired, the aide stopped showing up, the bills got confusing, a contractor took advantage, and the family two states away could not keep up with any of it. Ommpo exists to hold that middle ground.
What we believe
The senior stays at the center of every decision.
Oversight designed around a family's convenience rather than an older adult's consent does not last, and does not deserve to. Where your parent retains decision-making authority, they hold it — including over us.
Protection should expand a life, not shrink it.
Every safeguard we build has to answer one question: does this let someone stay independent longer? If a service only makes the family feel better while making the senior feel watched, it is the wrong service.
Independence means we are not paid by anyone we review.
We take no commissions, referral fees, or vendor kickbacks. Our fee comes from the family, which is the only way a flagged estimate can be trusted.
If it is not written down, it did not happen.
Most of what goes wrong in aging at home goes wrong because information lived in one person's memory. A record is unglamorous and it is most of the value.
